Shannon H.P. Ward is a Trial Lawyer at Aarons Ward located in Calabasas, California, where she specializes in sexual harassment and assault cases, as well as handling the firm's wrongful termination, discrimination, and retaliation cases.
Shannon has been asked to participate as a speaker and moderator for several professional legal seminars in California and Nevada, and actively participates in planning educational events for other attorneys through the Consumer Attorneys' Association of Los Angeles (CAALA), where she is the Chair of the Vegas Committee tasked with planning the Association’s annual convention. Shannon joined the Board of Governors for CAALA in 2022. She was voted by her peers as CAALA’s 2022 Rising Star, an honor recognizing the significant achievements of one CAALA member who has practiced law for less than 10 years. Shannon was also a Finalist for the Consumer Attorneys of California's (CAOC) Street Fighter of the Year award in both 2017 and 2019, and CAALA's Rising Star award in 2019. Shannon has been named as a Super Lawyers Rising Star for every year since 2017, and was selected as a Top Women Attorneys Rising Star by Los Angeles Magazine.
Shannon received her Juris Doctor from Pepperdine University School of Law. While attending law school, she participated in both Moot Court and Trial Advocacy competitions, on the local and national levels. Shannon also worked in the Asylum and Refugee Clinic for a year, successfully winning her client's asylum appeal in the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals. She was a Dean's Scholar recipient all three years of law school, and upon graduation, Shannon was presented with the Order of the Barristers Award for excellence in oral advocacy. She also received CALI Awards for receiving the highest marks in specific courses.
Prior to law school, Shannon graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology from California State University, Chico. She also received a Certificate in Forensic Identification and a Certificate in Forensic Archaeology.
Shannon is licensed to practice law in all California courts, and local federal district courts. Shannon has been a member of the Consumer Attorneys Association of Los Angeles since 2012 and is a member of the Diversity Committee for the Consumer Association of California.
In her spare time, Shannon works as an Adjunct Faculty member at Pepperdine University School of Law teaching Honors Trial Practice, and also enjoys hikes and beach days with her husband, toddler, and their two dogs.
